Exterior Painting – Done The Right Way!

First off, welcome to our new website! We hope you like it.

For the past 30 years, we have serviced Central Massachusetts with our exterior painting and carpentry services. From experience, we have seen it all. Over time, and with product technology of painting products improving, we’ve learned, solved, and improved our process to have a long lasting finish, especially in comparison to other painters in the area.

Here’s why you should hire us:

  1. Our project results last 6-8 years (almost twice as long as our competition)
  2. The root of our success starts with our team’s prep work and the materials we use
  3. We only use the highest quality materials on your home
  4. We offer a wide variety of carpentry work – ranging from replacing rotted wood to custom built front entrances, door replacements, window replacements, among other work. For more information on our carpentry services, click here.
  5. We DO NOT sub contract any work, only our well trained and trusted crew members will be on your job site
  6. Our projects do are done in a timely manner (weather permitting)
  7. We clean up our work area and are cognizant of your yard and landscaping

We offer free estimates, and would be more than happy to come to your home and answer questions you may have.

Kitchen Cabinets – Crown Molding Is A Must!

Kitchen Crown Molding

One of the popular upgrades we can make to kitchen cabinets prior to painting them is installing crown moldings at the top of the cabinets. This makes ordinary kitchen cabinets look and feel more custom once painted. On many kitchen cabinets above the sink is a valance. Even worse is when this valance is “wavy”. We remove the valance and return the crown to the walls. This is a relatively simple thing to do but has a major affect on the over look of the cabinets. It makes your mundane and ordinary kitchen look much more custom.

Newly Finished Carpentry Project…Check Out This New Deck!

I know I know, it’s been 278 some odd days since our last blog post. I blame the economy. Anywho, I wanted to throw up the recently finished deck project we started a few weeks ago. Here are a few money shots from our project, and you can find the rest in our Photo Gallery HERE (Under Carrie in Hopkinton).

With so many differences on the pictures, it would be impossible to dive into all of them. So, like the highlights magazine, lets see how many differences you can find! Hint, there is 17.

Hubley Painting – Carpentry Project

Well, to start a new portion of my blogs will be going through a current carpentry project for Hubley Painting. Ready for the ride?

Today we began rebuilding a customers deck in Hopkinton Massachusetts.

We will be:

1) Removing the railing sections off of the deck, which includes the handrails and balusters

2) Rebuilding a decorative composite sleeve around the framed posts of the railing to enhance their appearance

3) Once the handrails and balusters are removed, we will clean, stain, and reinstall each piece

4) Power wash the deck floor to remove mold, mildew, dirt, etc

5) Replace the deck skirt board

6) And best of all, removing the old lattice, building a better frame, installing two gates, one on each side of the deck, and installing an new cedar privacy lattices which are 3/4 inches thick.

Happy Memorial Day!

Hubley Painting wants to sincerely thank all of our fallen heroes, veterans, and active duty members. Without all of your sacrifices and hard work we would not live in such a great country that we do today.

Thank you!
