Sometimes the change is as simple as painting the cabinets. Sometimes it means taking it a step farther with carpentry enhancements to repurpose and customize the space. Our Process:
More than 30 years’ experience in the painting industry combined with the expertise of industry paint reps has allowed us to perfect the cabinet painting process. Our painting crew spends the first few days prepping the surface of the cabinets which includes thorough cleaning, sanding, caulking of seams and filling imperfections. We use a grain filling technique on oak cabinets to ensure a smooth finish. Two different primers are applied for adhesion and stain blocking before applying the final coats. The doors and drawers fronts are brought to our shop where they receive the same treatment as the bases. There is no end to the colors a client can chose for their cabinets.
Kitchen Transformation:
Exposure to new design trends on social media and the need for increased functionality means our clients sometimes want more than cabinet painting to transform their kitchen. The possibilities are endless as to the changes our skilled Hubley team can make. For example:
- Adding crown molding
- Adding a new bank of cabinets
- Enhancing the island with a new facade and/or increasing the size
- Moving the microwave and building a stove hood in its place
- Enlarging an opening for a bigger appliance
- Repurposing the cabinet base to allow for a farmhouse sink
